The packages should not be regarded as complete programs of work. The resources from these packages are designed to be incorporated into teachers’ programs where relevant, and teachers are free to adapt and modify the resources if desired. It is anticipated that teachers will plan and develop their own programs appropriate to their particular contexts and student cohorts, based on the syllabus documents, the achievement standard and the assessment pointers provided by the School Curriculum and Standards Authority.​
