The resources in these packages are intended to support the delivery of the Western Australian Curriculum: Japanese to students in Years 3 to 8 studying the Japanese: Second Language – Scope and sequence P to 10 and the Japanese: Second Language – Scope and sequence 7 to 10.
This package focuses on developing and extending students’ Japanese language skills through a range of activities related to birthday parties, seasons and events throughout the year.
In Year 4 Japanese, students have opportunities to exchange information about daily routines.
In Year 5 Japanese, students use descriptive and expressive language to exchange information about their home, neighbourhood and local community.
In Year 6 Japanese, students use descriptive and expressive language to exchange information about free time.
In Year 7 Japanese (P to 10 sequence) students use descriptive and expressive language to exchange information and give opinions about people, social events, and school experiences.
In Year 7 Japanese (7 to 10 sequence), students use descriptive and expressive language to exchange information about themselves, their family, friends and interests.
In Year 8 Japanese (P to 10 sequence), students use descriptive and expressive language to exchange information and give opinions about holiday activities, festivals, and celebrations.
