Multicultural resource kit

This suite of resources includes lesson plans, learning materials and practical guidance that have been developed to support schools to address racism and discrimination.

The National Antiracism Framework outlines the importance of school settings in preventative education and action against racism and discrimination. The Department values the diversity of students, staff, families and school communities. All members of school communities play a role in shaping the attitudes and beliefs of young people and promoting social cohesion. In building relationships with members of the community, school staff need to consider multiple perspectives and maintain neutrality. This demonstrates a commitment to school environments where all individuals are treated equally, and with respect and dignity.
